Not the Fuse Box!
The freshly painted CausePlay ambulance has hit another snag—its original fuse box finally gave out after years of faithful service. ACA Automotive is now on the hunt for a replacement since Chevy no longer makes the part. Maybe it was all the sanding, maybe it hated the retro stripe—but this little guy looks tired. We’re keeping the mission moving, one wire at a time.

Under the Hood and Into the Cloud
The ambulance is out of paint and into the shop—and now, CausePlay is headed into the digital realm. This week, I’m officially launching the CausePlay Discord server, opening up a new way for makers, cosplayers, and creative misfits to connect, share, and build together. I’m also kicking off our first round of fundraising to help cover the $7,000 cost of the new paint job and some tricky mechanical work (looking at you, mysterious MAF sensor). Let’s bring this mission to life—online, on the road, and everywhere in between.

The Stripes Beneath the Surface
Big milestone for the CausePlay rig—cab’s been stripped, primed, and revealed a surprise retro stripe under the paint. It’s getting a fresh coat now, but this thing’s already telling a story.
Follow along as we build a mobile maker space that’ll bring cosplay and DIY power straight to the con floor.

Reflecting on WonderCon 2025: Lessons Learned & Future Plans
WonderCon 2025 was a whirlwind, and while things didn’t go exactly as planned, the experience reinforced why I’m pursuing CausePlay. Even without the ambulance inside the con, I was able to help about 10 cosplayers with repairs, and the gratitude they showed reminded me how valuable this service is. It’s clear that having a bigger team and better planning for contingencies will be key moving forward, but even with last-minute adjustments, the impact was real. Seeing people light up when their costumes were saved made all the challenges worth it. This is just the beginning—San Diego Comic-Con is in site, and I’m ready to take CausePlay to the next level!

WonderCon 2025 Plans & Ambulance Progress!
Big moves are happening! We’ve officially dropped off the CausePlay ambulance at Galaxy Auto Collision for a fresh paint job and decal removal. While this means we won’t have the ambulance at WonderCon, it’s a huge step toward getting it fully outfitted as a mobile maker space.

CausePlay’s Ambulance Wrap is Coming Together!
Not every road to success is a smooth ride—especially when dealing with vehicle repairs! 🚑 After a week of waiting on a quote that never came, we had to pivot from our original plan in Yorba Linda. But in the end, it worked out for the better! The ambulance is now in the hands of a trusted local shop, getting the care it needs to hit the road soon. Check out the full story and what’s next for CausePlay in our latest blog update!

A Slight Delay, But Full Speed Ahead!
We wanted to share an important update on the CausePlay ambulance and our journey to bringing this mobile maker space to life. As you know, we’ve been hard at work transforming this former emergency vehicle into a fully equipped cosplay repair and fabrication workshop on wheels.

A beginning is a very delicate time
Hey everyone! It’s been a wild ride getting CausePlay off the ground, and I wanted to share some exciting updates on where we are, what’s coming next, and how you can be part of it!
