A beginning is a very delicate time

Hey everyone! It’s been a wild ride getting CausePlay off the ground, and I wanted to share some exciting updates on where we are, what’s coming next, and how you can be part of it!

The Big News: WonderCon 2025!

I’ve been working hard to bring CausePlay to WonderCon 2025 as the official on-site cosplay repair station! After an amazing call with the team at Comic-Con International, they’re currently working through the logistics of bringing the CausePlay ambulance inside the convention center. 🤯 If this goes through, it’ll be our first big event—providing cosplay repairs and showcasing what we’re all about!

The Ambulance: From Emergency to Innovation

A huge step forward was securing a 2010 Ford E-450 ambulance, which will be transformed into a mobile maker space. This vehicle is going to be fully outfitted with tools, materials, and workstations to bring creative fabrication to conventions, schools, and community events. Right now, I’m working on getting it running, painting it, and designing the interior layout for maximum functionality.

Funding the Future: Kickstarter Launch Incoming!

To make all of this possible, I’m launching a Kickstarter campaign to help cover the conversion, equipment, and first big event appearance. The campaign will offer exciting rewards for backers, from custom cosplay tools to exclusive CausePlay merch. More details soon—stay tuned!

Building the Community
