WonderCon 2025 Plans & Ambulance Progress!

WonderCon 2025 is just around the corner, and while we had hoped to bring the CausePlay ambulance to the show as an official on-site repair station, plans shifted in the last stretch. Still, we’re not slowing down!

🚑 Ambulance Update: Off to Paint!

The CausePlay ambulance is now at the paint shop, where it will be getting a fresh base coat and old decal strip over the next two weeks! This marks a huge step toward completing the transformation into a fully operational mobile maker space. We decided it was best to start the exterior revamp instead of bringing our ambulance to the con after we received word that logistics wouldn’t be possible for CCI in the short amount of time before the show.

🛠️ Why We Won’t Be at WonderCon in an Official Capacity

We had exciting conversations with WonderCon about officially hosting the cosplay repair station inside the convention center, but as the show approached, it became clear that the logistics for the Sponsorship Team weren’t feasible for this year. The team at WonderCon put in the effort to try and make it work, but ultimately, timing and costs didn’t align. No hard feelings at all—we’re still excited about future opportunities with Comic-Con International!

🎭 We’ll Still Be at WonderCon! Come Say Hi!

Even though CausePlay won’t have an official presence this time, I’ll still be at WonderCon on Saturday, talking about the project, networking, and sharing our plans for the future. If you find me at the con, I may have a small trinket for you as a thank-you for supporting CausePlay!

🔜 What’s Next?

With the ambulance getting its paint job, we’re shifting focus to the interior build-out, website expansion, and prepping for upcoming events. All needed steps in making CausePlay a traveling hub for makers, cosplayers, and creatives.

Thank you all for your continued support! I can’t wait to meet some of you at WonderCon 2025 and share even more exciting updates soon!
