Rolling (Almost) Ready

We’ve got movement again!

After weeks in the shop, the CausePlay ambulance is finally back from ACA Automotive—and for the first time in a long while, the electrical system is running as it should. Power’s flowing clean, lights are behaving, and the fuse box mystery has (mostly) been solved.

There’s still a bit of a mystery with the locks—they’re acting up, but based on the signs, it might be a door actuator issue rather than anything electrical. Another puzzle for the road ahead.

Speaking of the road—this morning brought a little drama of its own. I completely forgot about street sweeping (whoops), and the ambulance was still parked out front, and I…was already off to work. Luckily, my incredible fiancée came to the rescue. She doesn’t love driving big vehicles, but still managed to find a spot big enough and pulled the rig in. Mostly writing this post to shout her out for being so amazing. <3

What’s next? I still need to drive off 100 miles to get the rig ready for its smog check, which is the final hurdle before I can register it. In the meantime, I’ll be working on internal conversions and continuing to prep the space for its transformation into a mobile cosplay workshop.

Thanks for following along with the journey—your support truly fuels this build.
